Fancied practising my retouching skills and found a few portrait shots we did a while back when Yvette was trying out wedding hair styles with Jo.
Stobist: 430EX in softbox, high up, pretty much on camera axis at around 1/8 power. Reflector popping some light back from below. YN460II handeheld by Jo pointed at wall behind.

Candid street/beach portrait from Ibiza. This was taken during the Roman and Carthaginian Festival which was taking place on the main beach, it basically involve dressing up and throwing tomatoes at each other … Brilliant! This was taken before battle commenced.

An absolute must when in Ibiza is to watch the sunset with a drink in hand! The most popular place to watch sunset being sunset strip in San Antonio, where Cafe Mambo, Cafe Del Mar and Savannah (amongst others) play chilled out music as the sun goes down.
We managed to make sunset most nights on this visit, we did it the expensive way a few times eating and drinking sangria in one of the (rather expensive) sunset bars, or on this occassion going to the supermarket to buy booze and drinking it on the rocks with the same sights and sounds as those in the expensive seats!!
On this night we went for a few pear Koppabergs and a few San Miguels! After sunset we managed to catch Eric Prydz’ hour+ set at Cafe Mambo …. Superb!
Forgot my triggers this night so this was on camera flash, balanced for the ambient of the sunset using Exposure Bias and Flash Power Bias.
